Nested provides virtual interior design services for short-term rental and vacation property owners across the U.S. and Canada. Full-service design, furnishing and installation are available throughout the Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester region, with travel to select markets for larger projects.

When should I contact Nested about my property?
Ideally, before you close.
Beginning the design process while a property is under contract allows us to start developing the design direction, sourcing furnishings and planning for installation so you're positioned to move quickly after closing.
Already operating your short-term rental? We also work with existing properties that need to be refreshed, repositioned or redesigned to better compete in their market.
What types of properties do you design?
Nested specializes in short-term rentals, vacation homes and investment properties, from individual Airbnb and VRBO properties to multi-unit portfolios and boutique hospitality projects.
We work with both new acquisitions and existing rentals that need a stronger design identity or complete refresh.

What research does Nested do before designing my property?
We begin by studying your property, location and competitive market.
This may include reviewing comparable short-term rentals, guest capacity, local attractions, common amenities, competing listing photography and opportunities for your property to differentiate itself.
We then use those findings to help inform the design direction, layout, furnishings and guest experience.
Do you offer Airbnb and vacation rental interior design?
Yes. Short-term rental and vacation property design is our specialty.
We design properties specifically with the guest experience and rental environment in mind — balancing memorable interiors with functionality, durability, budget and market positioning.
Can you redesign an existing short-term rental?
Absolutely.
You don't need to be purchasing a new property to work with Nested. We can evaluate an existing rental and develop a strategy to refresh or reposition the space through new furnishings, styling, layout improvements and targeted design changes.

What is Digital Design?
Digital Design gives you the strategy and selections of a professionally designed Nested property while allowing you to manage purchasing and implementation yourself.
We develop the design direction, space planning, furnishings, finishes and sourcing recommendations for your property and provide you with a clear, shoppable plan to execute.
It's ideal for owners who want professional direction but don't require full-service installation.
What is Full-Service Turnkey Design?
Our Full-Service Turnkey service is designed for owners who want Nested to manage the transformation from concept through installation.
Depending on the project, we can coordinate design, sourcing, procurement, furnishings, décor, installation and final styling to deliver a finished, guest-ready property.
Can Nested furnish and stock the entire property?
Yes. For turnkey projects, we can source much more than furniture and décor.
Depending on your project scope, we can coordinate items such as bedding, linens, towels, kitchenware, small appliances and other guest essentials, creating a cohesive property that's ready for its next stage of operation.
Can you help select amenities for my short-term rental?
Yes. Amenities should make sense for the property's target guest, location, available space and investment budget.
When appropriate, we can recommend features and amenities that complement the overall guest experience and help make the property more memorable.
BUDGET, TIMELINE & INSTALLATION
How much should I budget to furnish a short-term rental?
Furnishing budgets vary considerably depending on property size, guest capacity, design direction, existing furnishings and the quality level selected.
Rather than forcing every property into the same furnishing budget, we develop recommendations based on the individual property and investment goals.
During your consultation, we'll discuss an appropriate preliminary budget before beginning design.
How long does the design process take?
Timelines vary depending on the size, scope and service selected.
Digital Design projects generally move more quickly, while Full-Service Turnkey projects require additional time for sourcing, procurement, delivery coordination and installation.
You'll receive an anticipated project schedule based on your property's specific scope before work begins.
How quickly will my furniture arrive?
We prioritize readily available furnishings and consider lead times throughout the sourcing process.
Actual delivery times depend on vendor inventory, shipping location and the individual items selected.
For turnkey projects, we coordinate deliveries around the planned installation schedule whenever possible.
How long does installation take?
Installation time depends on the size and complexity of the property.
Whenever possible, we consolidate installation and styling into an efficient installation period after furnishings have arrived and the property is ready for our team. Your anticipated installation schedule will be established as part of the project plan.
What happens if an item arrives damaged or needs to be returned?
Purchases are subject to the applicable vendor's return and exchange policies.
For Full-Service Turnkey projects, our team coordinates eligible damage claims, replacements and returns for items procured through Nested according to the terms of your agreement and the applicable vendor policies.
